This is a breast cancer awareness run/walk. The race starts and ends at Wallowa Memorial Hospital. There is a 1 mile course and a 5k and 10k run. Ribbons are awarded for the top three finishers in each age group.
The course for the 5k and 10k run, starts out on an upward climb, but coming back it’s all downhill! The scenery and view of the Wallowa Mountains is breathtaking, plus the cause is well worth the pain!

This is the 23rd year for this nationally-acclaimed conference for writers and readers. Summer Fishtrap will run from July 11 to July 18, 2010. It consists of two parts, which people can register for separately or together. The Summer Fishtrap Workshops run from Sunday, July 11 to Friday, July 16. The Summer Fishtrap Gathering runs from Thursday evening, July 15 to Sunday, July 18. (The two parts overlap.) The event takes place at the Wallowa Lake Camp and Retreat Center. There will be open mic ("open mike") readings free and open to the public on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, July 12, 13, and 14. Faculty in 2010 include Gary Snyder, Jack Loeffler, John Daniel, Jane Vandenburgh, Holly Hughes, Karen Fisher, Charles Goodrich, Jack Shoemaker, Brian Doyle, Ehud Havazelet, Cosy Sheridan, Ursula Le Guin, Robert Michael Pyle, and Amy Minato. Welcome to our 8th annual quilt show that is staged during the Hells Canyon Mule Days event in Enterprise at the Wallowa County Fairgrounds. This exhibit recognizes individual quilt makers from the area with over 100 quilts on display for the three day event. Our show committee is always pleased to show new quilts and we welcome your entry.
The Cloverleaf Hall comes alive with quilts that foster designs from the past and also current day patterns that will amaze and inspire the quilter and non-quilter alike. Quilts will be entered in three categories; Bed Size Quilts, Crib/Lap Size Quilts, and Wall Hangings. Also, a special category sponsored by Hannah Beaudoin from Savoie’s Specialties, for Mule designed motif quilts. There will be vendors representing quilt shops throughout the region for all those “must have/can’t resist” items...The raffle quilt will be on display and tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each or six for $5.00 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday at 2:00 pm.

| Details: We run the bazaar 2 separate weekends. Some vendors attend both weekends and some only one or the other. We have both hand crafted and commercial exhibitors. There will be door prizes and Christmas music both weekends. On the 3rd and the 4th, Santa Paws will be at the Bazaar. Santa will be there for photos for children, adults and of course our most beloved pets! We have 30 vendors attending each weekend from within Wallowa County and also out of state vendors. • North Pole Central will be open each Saturday in the Sweet Shoppe at the Outlaw Restaurant & Saloon.
• Santa will be in Joseph for pictures on these Saturdays.
• The elves will be working in Joseph businesses on these Saturdays (Joseph 5th & 6th graders).
