We
invite you to membership in the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce,
a rapidly growing organization whose mission is to help promote
the businesses and economy in Wallowa County.
Your membership in our organization will greatly improve
the commerce in Wallowa County and will prove to be a business
priority in the years to come. The Wallowa County Chamber provides members
with many advantages, a few of which are described below:
*A free listing on the Wallowa County Chamber's website. We also provide free links to your business's
home page or the opportunity to create a linking page of advertisements,
if you so desire. We are linked to all the major search engines
including Yahoo, Alta Vista, etc.
*A listing in the Business/Membership Directory: a popular local directory
used by many of our businesses, which allows for quick, easy
access to contact names and businesses, fax numbers and email
addresses. This directory is also included in all relocation
requests.
*Your business will be referred whenever lodging, conferences or group
meeting places are requested, if applicable to your type of
business.
*The chamber supplies a full-color brochure about Wallowa County. This
brochure goes out to all who request visitor packets, relocation
packets, and to Oregon welcome centers, as well as other chamber
and visitor centers throughout the United States. Additionally,
we make this brochure available to our membership businesses
for distribution.
*In addition to the county brochure, the Chamber has designed brochures
for visitor services in Wallowa County. There are event calendars,
restaurant guides, lodging guides, RV and other recreation parks,
outfitters, etc. These brochures are included in visitor packets,
relocation packets, and to Oregon welcome centers.
* The chamber holds a monthly breakfast meeting, most often with a guest
speaker. This is an opportunity
to discuss the Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce, and hear
member’s ides, suggestions, and concerns. This is also a time
for networking.
*Members receive the monthly newsletter, Wallowa Chamber of Commerce
News, which highlights current chamber issues and events.
*Members’ brochures and/or business cards have priority placement in the
Wallowa County Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center.
The
membership fee is based on number of full time employees or
equivalent. There is also a one-time set-up fee of $10.00
for new members.
