About Us

The Wallowa County Humane Society, a 501(c)(3) organization, is an all-volunteer animal welfare organization committed to bettering the lives of animals within our community.

Stop by and Visit our Wonderful Info Center and Re-Tail Boutique with new and slightly used clothing and other items at thrift store prices. It has been an incredible opportunity to work with the community since we’ve been so visible. Together we have stepped up the Trap/Neuter/Release program since it began over 30 years ago. More lost “owners” have been reunited with their pets, and more people have come forward to volunteer, just to name a few wonderful things that have come our way since the Info Center opened in October 2014. We are continuing our efforts to establish a sanctuary in the future.

The Center is open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., except holidays. Our Center Volunteer Coordinator has set up a schedule which is posted at the Center. All volunteers are asked to pick dates and times to work at the Center. Each volunteer will be partnered with an experienced volunteer to start. Without volunteers, there is no Wallowa County Humane Society. The animals and the people of Wallowa County will be helped by our efforts.

Call Carol, 541-263-0336, to volunteer. We invite you to stop by and visit the Center to see the changes and progress we’re making as we go forward.

Clothing Donations are accepted on Thursday only.
