Wallowa Land Trust Outing: Meander the Wallowa
Meander the Wallowa - Saturday, August 6th: 9am-12pm
Join botanist and naturalist Janet Hohmann for an exploration of the side channels and hidden wetlands along a stretch of the Wallowa River that has undergone significant restoration. This is a unique opportunity to view the first big river remeander project to take place in eastern Oregon on the McDaniel/Hammock property, and see how the landscape has flourished under Doug and Gail’s care.
Outings fill up fast, so please contact us to reserve your space. In addition, many of our outings have heavy sun exposure and include hiking on hilly uneven terrain; it is important to be aware of your physical limitations and come prepared. Please dress appropriately for the elements and for the outing. Wear sunscreen and hiking boots and don't forget to always carry water.
