Wallowa Land Trust Outing: Hike The Zumwalt
Hike the Zumwalt with Wallowa Land Trust and The Nature Conservancy!
Take a hike through the beautiful Zumwalt Pririe Preserve with local avian ecologist Andie Lueders. Learn about the wide variety of life that calls the Zumwalt home while keeping an eye out for elk, birds of prey, and colorful wildflowers. Make sure to bring a lunch!
This event is a part of the first annual Oregon Walk the Land Day, where land trusts across the state are hosting outings to highlight their efforts to protect some of Oregon's most incredible landscapes for both present and future generations. Outings fill up fast, so please contact us to reserve your space. In addition, many of our outings have heavy sun exposure and include hiking on hilly uneven terrain; it is important to be aware of your physical limitations and come prepared. Please dress appropriately for the elements and for the outing. Wear sunscreen and hiking boots and don't forget to always carry water.
