The Buck Stops in NE Oregon
Oregon has a new law that allows regular folks to invest in Oregon businesses, and encourages Oregon’s entrepreneurs to raise capital from their neighbors. Join Northeast Oregon Economic Development District (NEOEDD) staff as they describe the Community Public Offering (CPO) program and its history. Then, Joseph-based Judy Goodman, founder of BGood Bars, will present her actual CPO that is filed with the State of Oregon.
BGood Bars are artisan energy bars that are hand-crafted with unprocessed and often organic ingredients. They are sweetened only with honey and/or the naturally occurring sugars in the fruit, and dipped in “fair trade” dark chocolate. Judy Goodman launched BGood Bars in 2014 and has seen growth ever since, expanding her reach throughout Oregon and Idaho. She recently made her minimum goal for her CPO, a major milestone in the program.

NEOC3 is a community partnership that’s spreading the word about local investing, to educate people about their ability to take more control of their financial futures. The Northeast Oregon Economic Development District’s mission is to provide resources and facilitate quality decision-making for the benefit of entrepreneurs, businesses and communities in Baker, Union, and Wallowa counties.
