OSU Extension Service Hosts: Oregon's Community Food Systems
Oregon State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and the OSU Extension Service are partnering with OSU150 to convene an event to spark bold and visionary conversations around food systems and community food resilience, and reflections on the role of land grant universities.
The event, originating at the Portland Art Museum, will be livestreamed to county Extension Service offices in Oregon Wednesday, September 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event will be seen at the Wallowa County Extension Office, 668 NW 1st Street. A facilitated discussion will follow the livestream event. Light refreshments will be served.
Speakers from different perspectives—national regional (Oregon and Pacific Northwest)—have been invited to the event to spark conversation around food systems and food security and how land grant universities such as OSU, can facilitate that process.
OSU150 is a collaborative celebrating the 150th anniversary of OSU, focused on showcasing Oregon State’s past, present and future contributions to the state, the nation and the world.
