Fishtraps Hosts: Demystifying Poetry Through Imitation and Invention with Cameron Scott. Anyone interested in learning to read, talk and/or write poetry. Whether you are a Pulitzer prize winning poet or someone who has always wondered about poetry but never written it, the purpose of the workshop is to offer a base from which to talk about and practice the craft of poetry. We will read some well known and not so well poems, discuss them from a craft perspective, and try our hands at imitating them. Generative writing exercises will be built off of what we have learned from each poem.
