Brown Bag is a free event that feature informal presentations and discussions on the first and third or more, Tuesday noons of each month. Today features: Eastern Oregon University Agriculture Department, in honor of "Barns in Wallowa County: exhibit.
The Agricultural Experiment Station in Union Oregon was established in 1901, and the Hall Ranch added to the work in 1939. Oregon State University still carries out a vigorous research program at the Station and Ranch.
And some of the faculty members now double up with the Oregon State University at Eastern Oregon University program in agriculture and natural resources. Chad Mueller, whose own speciality is beef cattle, and who still carries on research, is now the program coordinator and head advisor for the OSU-EOU program.
And Chad will be the program at the Josephy Center’s Brown Bag on Tuesday, December 4. Noon at the Josephy Center to hear about the goings on at Eastern and Union, about summer ag institutes and college majors. We will have a few local students here, and we invite other students and ag classes. and specially invite people from agriculture and parents of potential OSU or OSU-EOU students.
