Wallowa Resources was founded in 1996 in response to changes in national forest management that were affecting our community. Our beginnings were in forestry, but our mission relates to all working lands, and we now work in renewable energy, noxious weed management, watershed restoration, business development, education, and research. We have always focused on stewardship of the land and community in Wallowa County. We strive to develop community-based solutions that integrate social, economic, and ecological goals. This is achieved through our three divisions: Watershed Stewardship, Wallowa Mountain Institute, and Community Solutions, Inc, our for-profit subsidiary.
Our mission is to develop, promote, and implement innovative solutions to help the people of Wallowa County and the Intermountain West sustain and improve their communities and their lands.
